Curiosity transforms the ordinary.

Our Story

Edible Terrain is a small food studio based in Richmond, London. We create playful crackers inspired by the landscapes around us, made by hand in small batches using familiar ingredients and a healthy dose of curiosity.

Edible Terrain began with a conversation in Richmond Park. While watching deer grazing, my daughter and I wondered why grass looked so inviting, yet tasted so terrible. Out of curiosity, we decided to create our own edible version.

What started as a playful experiment soon became something bigger. We became fascinated by the idea that food could capture a sense of place. Every batch is made by hand in Richmond, inspired by the landscapes we walk through every day. More than just a cracker, we hope each piece invites people to slow down, smile, and see the familiar with fresh eyes.

Every batch is mixed, rolled and baked by hand in Richmond. Working in small batches allows us to refine every detail, from texture and flavour to the way each piece is presented.

Made by hand

Every collection begins with a landscape rather than a flavour. Parks, gardens and everyday green spaces become the starting point for new ideas, each telling a story through food.

Inspired by landscape

Every landscape has its own ingredients. We work with British-grown grains, herbs and greens wherever possible, creating food that is inspired by the very places it comes from. Rather than simply resembling the landscape, we hope each piece carries a small part of it.

Ingredients

We spend as much time shaping the experience as the recipe itself. Every decision, from the form to the flavour, is guided by a simple question: How can we make people see the familiar differently?

Process

This is only the beginning.

Today we explore the British landscape through a single cracker. Tomorrow, we hope to discover many more places, ingredients and stories waiting to be shared.
